From May 15, 2020, and after being in consultation with the Austrian Federal Government, the first steps will be taken to enable the participation of believers in the Holy Services.
According to a statement issued by the Metropolis of Austria, the Holy Services will be held in public, subject to the following restrictions:
-During the Services, the faithful will obligatorily wear a mask on their face, which will cover their mouth and nose.
-The safety distance between the faithful will be 2 meters in each direction.
-The capacity of the churches for believers is calculated as follows: 1/20 m². Due to the latter restriction and the small size of our temples, since only a very small group of believers will be able to be present, the Metropolis of Austria is obliged to continue the performance of the Services behind closed doors.
Christians who wish to come to a Service will have to contact in advance by phone or by e-mail the Offices of the Metropolis or the Priest of their Parish. Thus, they will be informed on the day when it is possible for them to attend a Service.
The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Vienna will be open for worship and prayer during this period, from Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 13.00.
The Metropolis of Austria invites once more the faithful to continue every night at 20.00, their distance joint prayer for the divine help to everyone and especially to the sick and the healthcare workers.
