On October 15, the Orthodox Church honors Saints Lucian, Sabinus, and Varsos.
Saint Lucian of Antioch, born in Samosata, dedicated his life to the study and translation of the Holy Scriptures. He was martyred by starvation during Diocletian’s persecution.
Saint Sabinus, once a bishop, withdrew to a monastic life after finding the role burdensome, living out his days in asceticism.
Saint Varsos, Bishop of Edessa, stood firm against Arianism and was exiled, ultimately passing away in a fortress near Algiers.
