On Sunday, September 1, the Feast of St. Alexander, Metropolitan John of Zambia and Mozambique presided over a memorial service in the Church of St. Alexander in Lusaka in memory of the late Metropolitan Alexander of Nigeria.
The Metropolitan preached the Divine Word with vivacity, drawing lessons from the work of St. Alexander and referring to the work of the late Metropolitan of Nigeria, who dedicated his life to missionary work and the realization of the Word of God. He also made special mention of the unique spiritual relationship he had with him.
