Three months after the passing of the late Metropolitan Ignatius of Berat, a memorial service was held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius in Berat. The Trisagion service at his gravesite was led by Metropolitan Nikolaos of Apollonia and Fier.
The Orthodox faithful of Albania remember the late Metropolitan Ignatius with deep emotion. He was a shepherd who walked the path of the Cross, imitating Christ in mercy, forgiveness, honesty, and integrity, while embodying purity and sobriety in all aspects of his life. His legacy continues to inspire and guide the faithful.
