With the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Parish of The Presentation of Our Lady to the Temple in North Balwyn, Melbourne, is undertaking for another year the initiative to offer free cooking classes to those who would like to learn Traditional Greek Orthodox recipes.
The cooking classes will begin on Monday, 17 February 2025, at 6:30 pm, and participants will learn how to prepare koliva, prosphora, kourampiedes, koulourakia, traditional pies, Greek dips, and much more.
The course program is designed to convey the rich culinary traditions of mainland and island Greece. All recipes will be translated into English and the courses will be conducted in English.
The new course begins with great enthusiasm, building on the great success of last year, when participation in the corresponding courses reached 110 people.
