The meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mozambique, Verónica Nataniel Macamo Dlovo, with Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia took place in a cordial atmosphere.
The Metropolitan conveyed the wishes of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and informed her about the passing of the blessed Bishop Chrysostom as well as about other current issues.
The Minister welcomed the Metropolitan with cordial words as they have a long history of cooperation when she was President of the Parliament of Mozambique and Metropolitan Ioannis Bishop of Mozambique, as well as her term in the Pan-African Parliament where the Metropolitan is the co-ordinator of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy.
He edited Harry Dousemetzis’ book with the life of Greek-Mozambican Dimitris Tsafentas, the Greek who killed apartheid, hoping his research would restore Chafenta’s backwardness and correct South Africa’s history in the painful years of politics.
The Metropolitan was accompanied by the Lady of the Churches, Marina Tsichlaki.
