The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kostas Vlasis received today in his office, the new Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher in Greece, Archimandrite Raphael.
The Deputy Minister congratulated Archimandrite Raphael for taking up his new duties and expressed the support of the Greek government to the Patriarchate of Jerusalem and Patriarch Theophilos III, emphasizing the importance of the role of the Patriarchate in preserving the Greek Orthodox tradition in the region.
On his part, according to the announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher thanked Vlasis for the continuous interest and support of Greece and informed him about issues related to the work and actions of the Patriarchate.
