Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece decided that the Standing Holy Synod would meet on Monday, January 4, at 11:00, after today’s announcement by the Government Spokesperson, Stelios Petsas, regarding the tightening of the COVID-19 restrictive measures, which affect the operation of the churches on the day of the Epiphany.
The Standing Holy Synod will meet by teleconference to assess the new situation.
It is also reminded that during the Christmas and New Year period and the other days of the Twelfth Day, the local Metropolitans and the pious clergy complied with all the prescribed health measures inside the churches to curb the spread of the disease.
