The Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Mandbouli expressed his warmest thanks to the former Greek ambassador to Cairo, Michael Christos Diamesis, who is completing his mission in Egypt on 9 September.
The Egyptian Prime Minister said he was pleased with the Greek diplomat’s contribution to the strengthening of relations between the two countries and the trilateral cooperation with Cyprus.
At the same time, he wished Mr. Diamesis good luck for his new duties, which he is expected to assume as Greece’s ambassador to Turkey in the coming days.
For his part, the Greek ambassador to Cairo thanked for the three-year cooperation he had with both the Prime Minister himself and with all government ministers on issues concerning the two countries, whose cooperation is at the highest level of recent years in all areas.
Mr. Diamesis also informed the Egyptian Prime Minister that in Cairo, from September 14, he would be succeeded by Greek ambassador Nikos Garilidis, who was born in Port Said, Egypt, studied in Ampeteios School of Cairo and is offspring of Egyptian Hellenism, a fact that the Egyptian Prime Minister was very pleased with.
