In an interview with Russian media, the disputed President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, acknowledged that he may have been in power for a long time, and that many were tire of him, but estimated that the political situation in Russia could worsen as it did at that time in Belarus saying: “If Belarus now collapses, Russia will be the next.”
“Do not take it easy. Some political developments may occur soon in your country that are identical. Do you know what was the conclusion the Russian establishment, the Russian leadership and we drew? If Belarus collapses today, it will be Russia next,” Lukashenko told Russian citizens in his interview with the Russian journalists.
The disputed Belarusian president has blamed the United States for the protests taking place in Belarus, adding that the unrest in the United States is a result of the development of technologies used by Washington to destabilize other countries.
