Letters from the new President of the European Commission and the British Prime Minister to the Ecumenical Patriarch

The Ecumenical Patriarch received two warm thank-you notes from high-level officials of the European Union.

More specifically, the new President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, thanked the Ecumenical Patriarch for his congratulation letter on her election.

In addition, the new Prime Minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson, thanked Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for congratulating him and at the same time expressed his delight and contentment for the election of Nikitas Liulias as Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain.
