A letter was sent to the Cardinal of Paris and the French ambassador to Athens by Metropolitan Chrysostomos III of Mani.
In his letter, Metropolitan Chrysostomos expresses his sorrow for the tragic event of the fire in the famous Notre Dame de Paris, a monument of Christian and cultural heritage of France and all Europe.
He hopes that the Cathedral will be restored quickly after the destruction, so that this historic Temple will once again regain its glamor.

“For the tragic incident of the fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, this monument of Christian and cultural heritage of the friendly country οf France and all European civilization, I would like to express my deepest sorrow and my most sincere sympathy.
I wish an immediate recovery from the catastrophe so that this historic and splendid cathedral will find as soon as possible all its splendor and glory.”

Pour l’incident tragique de l’incendie à la cathédrale de Notre Dame de Paris, ce monument du patrimoine chrétien et culturel du pays ami qu’est la France et de toute la civilisation européenne, je souhaiterais exprimer ma tristesse la plus profonde et ma sympathie la plus sincère.
Je souhaite une remise immédiate de la catastrophe pour que cette cathédrale historique et splendide retrouve au plus vite toute sa splendeur et gloire.
