Lay people and clergy received the body of the late Metropolitan of Lemnos and Agios Efstratios, Hierotheos, who passed away on Monday noon.
The body of the late Hierarch arrived by boat at the port of Myrina at 2:20 a.m. accompanied by Metropolitan Iakovos of Mytilene, who currently serves as locum tenens.
Mayor of Lemnos Dimitris Marinakis received the body of the late Metropolitan at the port while Harbourmaster Giorgos Arvanitis, municipal councillors, and faithful were also present.
The body arrived at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity just before 3:00 a.m. The clergy and the faithful from Lemnos went early to the cathedral in order to bid a final farewell to their shepherd.
