Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East received Lebanon’s Minister of National Defense, Michel Mansi, at the patriarchal headquarters in Balamand.
During the visit, Minister Mansi extended his condolences for the victims of the massacre that took place at St. Elias Church in Damascus, expressing his strong condemnation of what he described as a horrifying and unacceptable act.
Patriarch John X thanked the minister for his solidarity and stressed the importance of unity and cooperation in the face of such violence.
“The coming days,” the Patriarch said, “must bring goodness to Lebanon, and this requires the active role of the Lebanese government in collaboration with all constitutional institutions.”
