The Islamic State has released a video purporting to show the killing of 11 Christian men in Nigeria, claiming it was part of a campaign to avenge the deaths of its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and its spokesman.
The jihadist group posted the footage on the Telegram platform yesterday, the day after Christmas, with subtitles in Arabic, but without a recorded message.
The video shows men wearing beige uniforms and black masks lined up behind blindfolded prisoners. Then they shoot one and behead the others.
