Ionian Village had the honor of welcoming Archbishop Elpidophoros of America during a special visit to the camp, following his recent pilgrimage, “From Rome to New Rome.”
The Archbishop was received by local dignitaries, government officials, clergy, staff, and a large gathering of campers. He led the evening Vespers service in prayer and later joined the camp community for dinner.
The evening continued with a video presentation and a commemorative gift offered by Ionian Village Director, Fr. Steven Klund. His Eminence then shared Archpastoral reflections and participated as the guest of honor in the camp’s themed “Greek Invasion” street fair night.
The visit marked a joyful moment in the camp’s summer program, offering inspiration and blessings to all in attendance.
