With the blessing of Metropolitan Meletios of Katanga, various artistic programs for the elementary school children were implemented in Kolwezi, Congo, for the third year in a row.
The aim of this program is to protect children from all forms of exploitation, in particular, the inhumane exploitation of children enslaved in lethal mines.
On August 15-30, 200 children were hosted in the Holy Metropolis.
A huge effort has already been made by the Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church, Protestants and many others by taking initiatives against modern-day slavery of innocent children in Congo by various exploiters.
