On Tuesday, October 14, 2015, the festive Divine Liturgy was celebrated with splendor and grandeur outdoors in Iași, Romania, on the occasion of the Feast of Saint Paraskevi of Epivat.
Hundreds of thousands of faithful from across the Orthodox world came to venerate the holy relics of Saint Paraskevi and the Honorable Head of Saint Gregory Palamas. These relics were brought by Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki.
Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki presided over the Divine Liturgy and delivered the homily. The local Hierarch, Archbishop Teofan of Iași and Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bukovina, invited twenty-eight hierarchs as guests, including Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral from the Church of Serbia, Metropolitan Anastasi of Korçë from the Church of Albania, and other hierarchs of the Romanian Patriarchate.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated in an atmosphere of deep reverence and prayer.
