Hundreds of Orthodox faithful gathered at the Rozhen Monastery Nativity of the Mother of God to pay their respects to the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, a revered copy of the Iveron icon, celebrated on Bright Tuesday, the third day of Pascha.
The festivities began on April 13 with a solemn Vespers service led by Metropolitan Seraphim of Nevrokop, with the prayerful presence of Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria. On April 14, a Paschal Matins and Divine Liturgy were celebrated, presided over by the Patriarch, concelebrated by hierarchs and clergy of the Nevrokop Diocese.
In his homily, Patriarch Daniel emphasized the transformative power of Christ’s Resurrection, calling the faithful to embrace the “new life” rooted in love, faith, and the Gospel. He encouraged believers to follow Christ’s example, especially in times of hardship, and to strengthen their faith through the living witness of the Church and the saints.
Following the Liturgy, a traditional procession with the miraculous icon took place, concluding with a blessing service at a nearby historic church. The celebration unfolded in a deeply spiritual and festive atmosphere, reflecting the enduring devotion of the faithful to the Mother of God.
