The Patriarchate of Jerusalem announced with great sorrow that the Holy Sepulchre Archimandrite Sergios Tsoukalas, who served with zeal in various ministries of the Patriarchate and who, in recent years, had been residing at the Holy Monastery of Saint George Epanosifis of the Holy Archdiocese of Crete for reasons of health, departed unto the Lord during the morning hours of today, Saturday, 7/20 June 2026.
His funeral service will be chanted at the Holy Monastery of Saint George Epanosifis on Sunday, 21 June 2026, at 1:30 p.m., through the kind care of the Holy Archdiocese of Crete.
The Patriarchate of Jerusalem and Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem will be represented at the funeral by the Patriarchal Exarch in Athens, Archimandrite Hieronymos.
