On Holy Saturday, April 19, 2025, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine presided over the Vespers with the reading of the 15 Old Testament Parables (passages from the Old Testament) and the Divine Liturgy according to the rite of St. Basil the Great at the Cathedral Church of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine – the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral.
Praying together with His Beatitude were Archbishop Agapit of Vyshhorod, Bishop Yefrem of Vasylkiv, the venerable brotherhood of the Golden-Domed Monastery, and invited clergy.
During the service, prayers were offered for the soldiers defending Ukraine, for the authorities and the people, and for the repose of the souls of all fallen defenders of Ukraine and civilians who lost their lives during the war.
At the end of the service, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine blessed the loaves and wine.
