The Holy Eparchial Synod of the Archdiocese of Australia will convene in an extraordinary session from 20 to 22 January, under the presidency of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
During the proceedings of the Synod, the items included on the official agenda will be examined.
It is noted that the Synod will meet following the regular session of the Archiepiscopal Council of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, which is scheduled to convene on the morning of 20 January at the headquarters of the Archdiocese in Sydney.
