The Holy Eparchial Synod of the Archdiocese of Australia will convene in an extraordinary session from August 21 to 23, 2025, under the presidency of Archbishop Makarios of Australia. During the session, the members of the Synod will examine the items on the official agenda.
On Sunday, August 24, a Synodal Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Sydney, with Archbishop Makarios presiding. Following the service, the official closing ceremony of the International Scientific Conference, organized by St. Andrew’s Theological College to mark the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council, will take place.
The Conference is held under the auspices of the Holy Eparchial Synod of Australia.
