The area of the Holy Diocese of Goma, Patriarchate of Alexandria, is in danger as the nearby volcano (Mount Nyiragongo) is erupting since Saturday, the 22nd of May.
Through a post on social media, the Diocese of Goma appeal for prayers by the believers, as after years of civil war, the natural destruction of the area by the volcano, will cause several more problems.
As it characteristically stated in the post: “The area of our holy Diocese of Goma is still going through difficult times with the natural phenomenon we are experiencing since Saturday.
The eruption of the volcano in Goma continues. Pray for us. It was all we needed… after so many years of civil war. “Christ is risen, brothers in Christ”
The Holy Diocese of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo was established on Monday, November 26, 2018, by the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa.
