On the Sunday after Christmas, December 28, 2025, Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Parish Church of the Holy Apostle Paul in Uppsala. He was assisted by the Very Reverend Archimandrite Sosipater Stefanoudis.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan delivered an appropriate pastoral address in both Greek and English. He then met with the students of the parish Catechetical School and proceeded with the cutting of the traditional Vasilopita, marking the festive season of the New Year.
A generous festive meal followed, lovingly prepared and offered by the parish’s volunteers, in which the entire congregation participated, further strengthening the spirit of fellowship and unity within the community.
The liturgical hymns were chanted in Greek and Swedish by members of the Byzantine choirs of the Parish of Saint Paul and the Cathedral Church of Saint George in Stockholm, adding a solemn and joyful tone to the celebration.
