On the feast day of the Holy Apostle Bartholomew, Hellenic College Holy Cross (HCHC) commemorated the nameday of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with a heartfelt message posted on their official social media channels.
The post read: “Today the Church commemorates the feast of the Holy Apostle Bartholomew and, as such, we celebrate the nameday of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
Since his election as Ecumenical Patriarch almost 34 years ago, His All-Holiness has been a voice of peace, unity, and love in the world. He has garnered the respect of faithful Orthodox Christians, religious leaders of other denominations and faith traditions, as well as world leaders for his pastoral and moral leadership. He has been at the forefront of numerous initiatives including climate change, education, ecumenical dialogue, and religious freedom.
As we celebrate the feast of St. Bartholomew the Apostle, the entire HCHC community wishes His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew many years as he continues to serve the Church and lead the devout faithful so nobly. Εἰς πολλά ἔτη Παναγιώτατε!
On this special day, we also extend our warmest congratulations to our beloved HCHC Chaplain and Assistant Professor of Canon Law, Fr. Bartholomew, as he celebrates his nameday. May God grant him many years of faithful service and spiritual guidance to our community!”
