On Friday, December 6, 2024, the Holy Theological School of Halki welcomed a delegation of 30 members from the Thomas Morus Academy of the Catholic Archdiocese of Cologne, led by Dr. Matthias Kopp, Secretary of the German Bishops’ Conference.
The delegation was received by the Abbot in the Great Synodikon of the School, where he addressed the visitors, highlighting the history of the Theological School, its contributions to inter-Christian relations—particularly the rapprochement between the Eastern and Western Churches—and the ongoing efforts for its reopening.
Following the address, the visitors were given a guided tour of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the classrooms, and the historic Library of the School.
