The interest of the Greek prime minister and the Greek government for the Ecumenical Patriarch’s health, as well as the heartfelt personal wishes of Kyriakos Mitsotakis for a speedy recovery, but also for the celebration of Christmas, was conveyed to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew by the Archon of Great Church of Christ and Professor of Pathology – Infectious Diseases Sotirios Tsiodras, during a telephone conversation they had last night, December 24, 2021.
Tsiodras conveyed to the Ecumenical Patriarch the wishes of Minister of Health Athanasios Plevris.
The Ecumenical Patriarch expressed his gratitude for the undivided interest of Mitsotakis and the Greek government and asked Tsiordas to convey his wishes and the blessing for the Twelfth Day to the pious Greek people.
Turkish President sent his wishes to Ecumenical Patriarch
Minister of Health Dr. Fahrettin Koca sent the wishes of President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for a speedy recovery to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, in a telephone conversation they had on Friday night, December 24, 2021.
Koca conveyed to the Ecumenical Patriarch, who is at the Central Hospital of Constantinople, the interest of the President and himself personally for his health condition, and assured him that the Turkish authorities would be by his side.
The Ecumenical Patriarch spoke earlier with the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who expressed his heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery.
