Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with Cyprus Republic President Nicos Anastasiades on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting on Thursday.
The two leaders spoke on the latest developments in the Cyprus issue and reaffirmed their commitment for close cooperation, with Greece supporting the solution of a bizonal, bicommunal federation without foreign armies or guarantees as the best solution.
Mitsotakis also informed Anastasiades he had raised the issue of Turkish aggression at his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday and at his meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres earlier on Thursday.
