Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a telephone conversation earlier today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, focusing on the latest developments in Ukraine ahead of the upcoming European Council meeting in Brussels on October 23–24.
According to an official statement from the Prime Minister’s Press Office, Mr. Mitsotakis briefed President Zelensky on the outcomes of the Peace Summit that took place on Monday in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and European security issues, reaffirming Greece’s continued support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within the framework of the European Union.
