A “secret dinner” was held on Tuesday evening at the Prime Minister’s residence on Lycabettus Hill.
According to exclusive reporting by Kathimerini, Archbishop Ieronymos visited the residence at the invitation of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The Archbishop arrived alone, without any aides, and dined privately with the Prime Minister and his wife.
Sources indicate that the main topic of discussion was recent developments concerning the Monastery of Saint Catherine in Sinai — an issue the Archbishop himself has brought to the forefront through recent public remarks.
Archbishop Ieronymos departed late in the evening, which suggests the meeting took place in a positive atmosphere and that the two had an extensive exchange of views.
