Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis underlined Greece’s supportive stance towards the Gulf countries that were attacked by Iran in a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, whom he met on Wednesday at the Maximos Mansion. The prime minister also expressed his satisfaction with Qatar’s confidence – as expressed through investments – in the Greek economy, noting that this has recorded significant progress.
“Greece stood by all the Gulf countries and supported your country against an unprovoked attack by Iran,” Mitsotakis emphasized and added: “I appreciate Qatar’s commitment to investing in Greece. Our economy has recorded significant progress compared to previous years.”
On his part, the Emir of Qatar thanked Mitsotakis and Greece for its stance during Iran’s attack on the Gulf countries and stated: “I would like to thank you, Mr. Prime Minister, for standing by your friends in this conflict. Your economy will do well under your leadership and we look forward to other opportunities for investment in your country.”
