Greek President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas spoke on the phone with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Tuesday.
During the conversation, Mitsotakis briefed the president on critical developments in the wider region and on Greece’s military support to Cyprus. He also stressed his availability to update political leaders both in private meetings and in Parliament.
On Monday, the president spoke on the phone with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, receiving updates on the incidents targeting the British base at Akrotiri. He also took the opportunity to convey Greece’s solidarity with Cyprus amid the escalation of tension.
