The event was attended by teachers from the Greek Schools of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, as well as parents of the students, who expressed their pride and deep emotion at their children’s participation in an initiative of significant cultural and social value.
“Watching our children honour Greek tradition and bring joy to the elderly reminds us of the importance of preserving the continuity of our language and culture,” said Maria Rontziokou, a student’s mother.
The visit concluded on a joyful and lively note, as students, parents, and teachers came together to sing the traditional Christmas carol Trigona Kalanta, accompanied by musical instruments, including traditional triangles and bells. The space was filled with applause, smiles, and a warm festive atmosphere.
This Christmas initiative delivered a powerful message of love, respect, and cultural continuity, reaffirming that Greek tradition remains vibrant and alive through the younger generations.
