Maria Antoniou, Head of the Prime Minister’s Office in Thessaloniki, and George Kassapidis, Regional Governor of Western Macedonia, accompanied by people of commerce, were received by Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium on Tuesday, January 21, in Brussels.
At the meeting, which took place in a warm climate, the Metropolitan referred to the history of the Holy Metropolis and more generally to the presence of the Orthodox Church in the Benelux Countries in the past, as well as to the activities of the Holy Metropolis of Belgium, while Maria Antoniou spoke of the aim of their visit to Brussels.
Metropolitan Athenagoras thanked them for visiting the Holy Metropolis and wished them a happy new year.
