Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias on Wednesday had a meeting with U.S. Ambassador in Athens Geoffrey Pyatt, the foreign ministry tweeted. According to the tweet, the meeting was held at the foreign ministry and focused on Greek-US Strategic Dialogue, regional developments and Hagia Sophia.
“Important discussion with Minister Nikos Dendias on our shared objectives for regional stability, our shared interests in the western Balkans, and planning for the next US-Greece Strategic Dialogue. Also reiterated our deep disappointment with Turkey’s decision on HagiaSophia,” the US ambassador later tweeted about the meeting.
