Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on X highlights that Greece supports US-Egypt-Qatar joint declaration calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages.
“ Greece fully supports the Joint Statement made, on August 8, by the Leaders of the US, Egypt and Qatar on Gaza ceasefire and hostages release deal. We urge for an agreement to be concluded shortly based on the principles outlined by President Biden on May 31, 2024, and endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2735. This would lay the groundwork for achieving de-escalation and fostering peace in the region,” says Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X.
