The foreign ministry concluded the first repatriation of Greeks and their family members from the Middle East on March 3 and 4.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the following repatriations were made:
– Ninety-three Greek citizens and their family members, from Oman, on a special Aegean Airlines flight, under the auspices of the Embassies of Greece in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.
– Forty-two Greek citizens from Bethlehem by road to Egypt, accompanied by the Consul General of Jerusalem.
– Twenty-seven members of the ARIS Thessaloniki youth group, who traveled by air from the UAE to Istanbul and from there by road to Thessaloniki, under the auspices of the Consul General of Istanbul.
According to the announcement, operations are continuing. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains fully prepared to provide all possible assistance to Greek citizens affected by the war situation in the wider Middle East.
