Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias had a telephone communication with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. “Mr Dendias expressed his sympathy to the Ecumenical Patriarch about the incident of the recent burglary of his home by strangers, as well as his intention to meet soon in Constantinople,” diplomatic sources said.
The Phanar has been keeping a low profile on the case, since yesterday that the burglary in the personal confinement of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Tarabya was revealed.
The competent authorities in Greece (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc.) were informed from the first moment and it is alleged that the competent Greek authorities have received assurances from Turkey that the case will be resolved.
