The Church of St. Andrew in Gelendzhik was visited by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Nikos Dendias, during his visit to Russia.

Earlier in his meeting with the Greek Diaspora, Nikos Dendias pointed out that: “I am surprised by the dynamism of the Greek element, without wanting to downplay the contribution of the other 79 ethnicities to Gelendzhik. But let me feel very proud of my compatriots.”

The Foreign Minister did not hide his joy for today’s visit to Gelendzhik, stressing that “I feel at home. Greece’s ties with this region are 2,500 years old.”
