Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias attended a video conference of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday that discussed preparatory work ahead of the Alliance’s June 14 Brussels summit.
The minister stressed that the Alliance must deal with new challenges both natural and sectarian, such as climate change and the use of new technologies by subversive elements, noted diplomatic sources.
Dendias also highlighted the need to maintain a dual-track approach with Russia, and strengthen partnerships with other international actors, starting with India, it was added.
Finally, he mentioned the importance of maintaining peace and stability in Afghanistan even after the end of NATO’s mission in the country, and of strengthening NATO’s strategic partnership with the EU.
