As the minister posted on Twitter, “Imbros is an island with long history and the birthplace of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. In recent years, the Greek community of Imbros is flourishing again with 600 Greeks and over 50 students and 3 Greek schools operating on the island. The Greek State should do its utmost to support the proud Greeks of Imbros.”
