The Metropolis of Buenos Aires and South America sent a joint message from Greek communities and organizations of South America about the wildfires in Greece.
In a joint message, Greek communities and cultural, educational and charitable organizations under the jurisdiction of the Metropolis expressed their support for Greece, which is being tested by the wildfires.
Specifically, it states: “From faraway South America, the Greek Orthodox expatriates through the Church and various organizational institutions are spiritually close to the fire victims and all the victims of this catastrophe and hope for a speedy restoration of normalcy.”
Finally, every criminal attempt at arson is condemned “which reveals, not only material interests but a perverted conscience unworthy of our spiritual heritage” and all those who help fight the fire are praised.
