In a letter sent by the Greek Permanent Representative to the UN to the Secretary-General of UN today, Greece underlines that Turkey’s unilateral objections to the militarization of the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean islands, as well as the connection of this regime with Greek sovereignty, are completely unfounded, as well as legally and historically incorrect, according to diplomatic sources.
In addition, as they point out, it is emphasized that all the arguments contained in a relevant letter from the Turkish Permanent Representative, which was sent to the UN Secretary-General a few days ago, are also rejected, as apart from the fact that it is legally and really unfounded, it is also arbitrary.
Furthermore, the same diplomatic sources state that the letter of the Greek Permanent Representative deconstructs the Turkish argument, and at the same time emphasizes in detail the Turkish illegal and provocative behavior in the wider region, starting with the casus belli.
