Greece immediately responded to the request of the Croatian government, through the European Civil Protection Mechanism, and sent immediate aid to deal with the consequences of the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that hit the country yesterday.
Moreover, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis ordered to give material to the Croatian authorities, such as tents, rollaway beds, sleeping bags, sheets, in order to address the needs that have arisen due to the earthquake and to help the victims.
It is noteworthy that Greece expressed right away its willingness to send immediate aid to the Croatian authorities, in the context of solidarity and mutual European assistance. The material will be transported to Croatia by a C-130 aircraft. The mission will be represented by an official team from the General Secretariat for Civil Protection.
