A trilateral meeting between Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Emmanuel Macron, and Nikos Christodoulides concluded in Paphos, focusing on regional cooperation and security developments.
Following their discussions, the three leaders visited the Joint Rescue Coordination Center, where they were greeted by the operators of the Mistral anti-aircraft missile systems stationed outside the facility.
Earlier in the day, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis arrived at Paphos Airport, where he was welcomed by President Nikos Christodoulides. Shortly afterward, French President Emmanuel Macron also arrived to take part in the meeting. Mitsotakis was accompanied by Greece’s Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis.
After the visit to the coordination center, the three leaders were expected to deliver joint statements to the press. Later, Mitsotakis and Christodoulides were scheduled to inspect the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft stationed at the Paphos air base.
The meeting comes amid heightened regional tensions and reflects ongoing cooperation between Greece, France, and Cyprus on matters of defense, security, and strategic coordination in the Eastern Mediterranean.
