The Divine Word was proclaimed by the Metropolitan Daniel of Kesariani. He spoke of the personality and work of Saint Ioannis the Theologian, stressing that the celebration of his memory gives us the opportunity to reflect and deepen our thoughts on Evangelist John, who witnessed the Passion of Jesus. Metropolitan of Kesariani offered his good wishes to Metropolitan Theologos of Serres and Nigrita on his name day.
On his part, Metropolitan Theologos stressed that “the bishop of each local Church carries and reveals its ethos. If we want to follow the teachings of Jesus, we are called to take up His Cross,” he said.
