The military parade for October 28 was held on Megalos Alexandros Avenue in Thessaloniki, in the presence of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The first part of the parade included civilian contingents, followed by motorized and marching units from all three branches of the Armed Forces and the Security Corps.
For the first time, some of the new, state-of-the-art weapons systems of the Hellenic Armed Forces were presented publicly, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and AI-powered systems recently acquired by Greece.
The parade concluded with a spectacular aerial demonstration by the “ZEUS” flight team, featuring Squadron Leader Georgios Sotiriou performing precision maneuvers and impressive aerial formations in an F-16 fighter jet over the seafront parade area. During the show, he communicated via radio with the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas.
The weather conditions—sunshine with occasional light cloud cover—are ideal for the parade, and thousands of Thessaloniki residents gathered along the parade route and the New Waterfront to watch the event.
