Τhe annual graduation ceremony of the Metamorphosis Greek Orthodox Day School was held with great success at the Metropolitan Cultural Centre, in an unforgettable atmosphere of joy, emotion, and pride.
Graduates and their families celebrated wholeheartedly at the Cultural Centre, with the awarding of diplomas and prizes, accompanied by music and traditional dances.
The event was impeccably coordinated by the principal, Mrs. Anna Saradidis, and the master of ceremonies, Mrs. Despina Anagnostopoulos. Also in attendance was Mrs. Lucy Gregoriadis, member of the school’s Board of Directors.
Remarks were delivered by Dr. Marilena Griva, Cultural Affairs Advisor, representing the Consulate General of Greece in Toronto, and by Archbishop Sotirios of Canada.
In his address, Archbishop Sotirios warmly congratulated the graduates and their families. He spoke in high praise of the principal, Mrs. Anna Saradidis, as well as Mrs. Toula Reppas, founder of the Metamorphosis School. He conveyed the blessings and best wishes of our Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and offered thanks to God for the great blessing of the Day School.
Following the presentation of diplomas and awards, a prayer was offered, followed by a celebratory dinner, music, and dancing. The atmosphere was both festive and familial.
The Metamorphosis Greek Orthodox Day School is recognized as one of the top private elementary schools in Ontario.
Archbishop Sotirios also announced the establishment of a second day school at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church in Markham, giving thanks and glory to our All-Good God for His blessings.
