On Thursday, June 13, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received the graduates of the Patriarchal High School of the Nation in the Reception Hall of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to bless them and present them with their traditional golden crosses.
During the meeting, after thanking the Ecumenical Patriarch for the reception, the headmaster, Mr. D. Zotos, introduced the eight graduates of the school and gave a brief report on the activities of the recently completed school year.
The Ecumenical Patriarch, after offering his congratulations and best wishes to each graduate, inquired about their plans, stressing the utmost importance of continuing their studies and life in Constantinople for the local Greek community.
Finally, noting the historical significance and contributions of the Great School of the Nation to the Greek community, the Ecumenical Patriarch, with fatherly blessings and good wishes, presented the graduates with their crosses.
“As the family of the Patriarchal Great School of the Nation, we once again express our gratitude for the love and interest that the esteemed leader of the Orthodox Church has shown to our students,” the school said in a related release.
